Govt to form expert panel to examine age relaxation for civil services exam

Government has decided to constitute an expert committee to comprehensively examine various issues like age relaxation, eligibility, syllabus and pattern of civil services examination. <br/><br/>Minister of State for Personnel Jitendra Singh said in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha today. He said, government has received various representations on issues concerning the scheme of civil services examination on relaxation in maximum age limit and setting up of question papers in the regional languages for preliminary examination in the civil services.<br/><br/>The civil services examination is conducted annually in three stages Preliminary, Mains and Interview to select candidates for prestigious Indian Administrative Service(IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS) among others.
