Govt to extend all possible help to treat hockey player Baljit Singh

The government says it will extend all possible help to treat senior hockey player Baljit Singh to regain his eye vision. Speaking to AIR, the spokesman of Sports Authority of India Mr Pravir Krishn said the ministry spent Rs 35 lakh for his treatment in the US where he underwent three surgeries. The player's right eye was badly damaged during a practice camp in Pune last year. Earlier Baljit alleged that the Ministry brought him back from the US midway through his treatment.
