The Government has convened a meeting of Central Employment Guarantee Council (CEGC) in New Delhi on Monday to discuss the effective implementation of rural job guarantee scheme and its convergence with other social sector initiatives under Bharat Nirman. The meeting under the Chairmanship of Union Minister of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj C P Joshi will take stock of the progress made under the Mahatma Gandhi National Employment Guarantee Scheme.
