The Government is to de-control diesel prices soon. Addressing a FICCI seminar in New Delhi today, the Petroleum Minister Murli Deora said that the fiscal implication of the burden of huge subsidies was acute. He said that this compelled the government to take this bold but politically sensitive decision. The Minister maintained that there cannot be duel policy on subsidies. Mr. Deora said, if subsidies are withdrawn, it will be withdrawn for one and all.
