Government is considering an ambitious skill development programme to create job opportunities for those rural youths who belong to minority community and are below poverty line. Rural Development Ministry said in a statement that it is planning to launch the programme in collaboration with the Minority Affairs Ministry during next financial year. The move followed a discussion between the Minister of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj C P Joshi and Ministerof Minority Affairs Salman Khurshid in this regard in New Delhi on Tuesday.
