Government is planning to create accreditation centres in the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) and Indian Institutes of Management (IIM). Replying to a question in Lok Sabha, Minister of State for Human Resource Development Mahendra Nath Pandey yesterday said that the government has a proposal in this regard to speed up the accreditation process. <br/><br/>Earlier, HRD Minister Prakash Javdekar had said, the government will float an idea to enable IITs and IIMs become accreditation bodies so that burden of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council is eased.
