The government will cover three crore 40 lakh families under the Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojan during the current financial year.Giving this information in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha today,minister of labour and employment Mallikarjun Kharge said that morethan three crore 23 lakh smart cards have been distributed in 26states and union territories under the scheme till last month. Thegovernment has launched the scheme to provide smart card basedcashless health insurance cover of 30 thousand per annum on a family floater basis to BPL families in the unorganised sector.
