Government has decided to control the price of knee implant surgery in the country. Talking to media, Chemical and Fertiliser Minister Ananth Kumar said government has decided to cap the prices of different knee implant surgeries. He said there is unethical profiteering in knee implant surgery in the country and the decision will control it. <br/><br/>He also said the decision will benefit around 1.5 to 2 crore knee patients in the country. Mr Kumar said punitive action will be taken against te hospitals which charge above the limit. The Minister siad the new ceiling price of Cobalt Chromium Knee implant will be 54720 rupees.
