The government has decided to commemorate the birth and death anniversaries of social reformer and poet Sant Kabir. Replying to supplementaries in the Lok Sabha, Culture Minister Dr. Mahesh Sharma said the anniversaries have been included in the national calendar of events. <br/><br/>He said with the active involvement of North Central Zone Culture Centre, programmes will be organized at his birth place in Varanasi and Maghar where he breathed his last. The Minister said the government is also planning a commemorative coin on Kabir.
