Power and Coal Minister Piyush Goyal today said, government will collaborate with foreign countries for clean and safe technology to increase the efficiency and production of coal. Addressing a gathering in a function in New Delhi, the Minister said that the new technology will be made available to coal companies to improve the quality and increase quantity of coal. Mr Goyal said that India can achieve the goal of 24×7 power supply to every household in the country without compromising its commitment on promoting clean, safe and sustainable energy.Mr Goyal said that his Ministry has revised previous targets and increased them by three to four times to meet expanding power needs of the people. He also said that India has huge potential to expand renewable energy sources to provide affordable power to its citizens.
