Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment Thaawar Chand Gehlot today said, government will bring a legislation to protect the rights of the transgenders to live with dignity. <br/><br/>Intervening into the debate on a private member's bill- Rights of Transgender Persons, 2014 in the Lok Sabha, he said, the draft of the Bill has been finalised and the Cabinet note circulated. <br/><br/>He expressed hope that the Union Cabinet would soon approve the bill. The Minister said, the government is committed to protect the interest of transgenders. <br/><br/>Baijayant Panda of BJD had moved the bill for consideration and passing in the House. Several members participated in the discussion. The discussion remained inconclusive. The Bill has already been passed in the Rajya Sabha.
