The government has said that it will bring a fresh Bill on Enemy Property in the next session of Parliament. Home Minister P. Chidambaram said that the official amendments were introduced after extensive discussions but since the members wanted more time to study the provisions, the government has decided that it will bring a new Bill. The Bill was to replace an Ordinance that was promulgated in July this year. BJP leaders Sushma Swaraj and L.K. Advani cautioned the government against bringing another ordinance by incorporating further amendments.
