Chemical and Fertilizers Minister Ananth Kumar has said that the government is coming with a national fertilizer policy for sustained agricultural growth and to promote balanced nutrient application. Addressing the 4th national conference on agro-chemicals in New Delhi today, Mr Kumar said that his Ministry will soon appoint a task force comprising scientists and experts to formulate the policy. He said, a national mission on green fertilizers will be started soon where incentives will be given to farmers for using. He said the government is thinking to ban some fertilizers which are affecting the biodiversity. The Minister said that the government is committed for food and nutritional security of the nation. Mr Kumar stressed on the use of bio manure and bio fertilizers to maintain soil health in the country.
