Union Water Resource Minister Pawan Kumar Bansal has said that most of the members of the Consultative committee of Parliament constituted to form a new water policy cutting across party lines were unanimous to have water related issues in the concurrent list. He said in Chandigarh that government has not discussed it yet and hence no decision has been taken so for. Expressing concern on lowering of ground water level in most parts of Punjab and Haryana and other parts of the country, he said that new policy for judicious use of water has been prepared, which would be announced in two to three months.
