Minister of State in Prime Minister's Office V Narayansamy today said that Government will allay all the fears of protestors regarding Kudankulam nuclear Plant.
Talking to reporters in New Delhi, Mr. Narayansamy said that Centre is coordinating with the Tamil Nadu government to sort out the issue at the earliest. He added that Centre respects Ms. Jayalalitha's views on the issue.
CPI(M) said that government should seriously re-look on the safety issues of the Nuclear plants. Party leader Sitaram Yechury said that government should address these issues after experience of Fukushima incidence and Tsunami.
Earlier, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Ms. J. Jayalalithaa said that the Centre should stop blaming the State Government on the Kudankulam issue.
In a press note released today, she stated that the State Government did not receive any formal communication from the Prime Minister’s office on naming the members of the Committee which would look into the issue.
