Govt to add over 7,450 km of gas pipeline network over next 2-3 yrs

The government has said that it will add over 7,450 km of gas pipeline network over the next 2-3 years to ramp up its supply lines across the country to keep pace with the growing demand from the consumption centers.<br/><br/>Addressing the 6th Asia Gas Partnership Summit in New Delhi, Union Commerce and Industry minister, Mr. Anand Sharma said that Major pipeline projects are underway and the challenge for an emerging market like India is to develop pipeline infrastructure in all parts of the country, including remote areas.<br/><br/>The two-day summit will discuss about international cooperation regarding Natural Gas and energy demands in Asian Reason.
