The government has said that it has taken all possible measures to eradicate corruption from public life in the country. Addressing concluding session of a programme on Anti-Corruption and Financial Crime in New Delhi today, Minister of State for Personnel V.Narayanasami said that several legislation have been introduced in current session of Parliament. If these Bills are passed by Parliament, they will add enough teeth to the law enforcement agencies to fight the menace. He said one of the most important Bills which was introduced in Parliament is time-bound delivery of goods and services. He described it as effective as Lokpal Bill which seeks to create a mechanism to ensure timely delivery of goods and services to citizens. He said the Bill will enable the government to take stringent action against erring officials for their failure to deliver the services within 30 days.
