<span style="color: #222222;">Union Government has taken many steps to boost the investment in renewable energy sector in the country. Replying to </span><span style="color: #545454;">supplementaries </span><span style="color: #222222;">in Rajya Sabha, Renewable Energy Minister R K Singh said, an investment of over 36 thousand crore rupees have been made in the year 2019-20 up to December 2019. He said, it is expected that renewable energy capacity addition in the current fiscal will exceed the capacity addition achieved in the year 2018-19. </span> <br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The Minister said the Renewable Energy capacity commissioned in 2018-19 was over 8,500 Megawatt. In the year 2019 up to December 2019 renewable energy capacity of around 7,600 Megawatt has been commissioned and renewable energy capacity of 34,160 Megawatt is under various stages of implementation.</span><br />
