The government is taking measures to improve the occupancy of all trains including Rajdhani, Shatabdi and Duronto Express. Replying to questions in the Lok Sabha today, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal said, ten percent rebate in basic fare is given on vacant seats booked after preparation of first chart in all trains. <br/><br/>He told the House that lack of adequate land posed major obstacles for the development of Railway network in some states like Kerala. The Minister sought help from members in securing land for expansion of Railways in these states.
