International Women's Day will be celebrated tomorrow. The government has taken a series of initiatives to empower women. People are using the #IWD 2020 and #BetiPadhaoDeshBadhao to share uplifting stories in the run-up to International Women's Day. <br />'' <br />'' In Jammu and Kashmir, various programmes are being held in various departments including the educational institutions across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir. <br />'' <br />'' AIR Correspondent reports, 'Jammu & Kashmir administration has taken-up many initiatives in the shape of different policies and schemes inclined in the direction to ensure gender equality and women empowerment. <br />'' <br />'' A district officer of J&K Social Welfare Department, Dr. Farhana Asgar said that their department also provides monthly assistance of Rs 1,000 to widows and destitutes, in order to secure their livelihood.<br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />
