The government has suggested Public-Private-Partnership models to encourage private funding in the infrastructure sector. The suggestion was made by the Minister for Urban Development Minister Mr Kamal Nath while inaugurating Infrastructure Conclave-2012 in New Delhi today. He expressed concern over the huge infrastructure deficit saying that it is the country’s biggest challenge. Mr Nath said that multitude of young population constantly moving from villages to cities to fulfill their aspirations thereby needing more infrastructure facilities. He underlined the need for adopting the best practices to bridge the deficit.
