Minister for Petroleum and Natural Gas Dharmendra Pradhan has asked the captains of the Petroleum industry to strive towards achieving the objective of nil incidents across the Industry segments. Presenting Oil Industry Safety Awards in New Delhi today, Mr Pradhan said, the main focus should be on creating a safe work environment in the industry with an underlying commitment to creating an incident free and injury-free work environment. Stressing upon the need for having an umbrella organization to look after the vital safety aspects of oil and gas industry, the Minister said that government will bring a oil safety bill in the Parliament soon.<br/><br/>On the occasion, the Minister also released two compendiums on analysis of major incidents in oil and gas industry and safety audit checklist. 28 numbers of Oil Industry Safety Awards were presented for the year 2013-14 today.
