Government has stressed the need to eradicate poverty, water sanitation and elimination of gender inequality in education to achieve the Millienieum Development Goals, MDG.

Interacting with Media after launching the Asia -Pacific Regional MGD Report -2012 in New Delhi today, Minister of Rural Development and, Drinking water and Sanitation, Mr. Jairam Ramesh said that however India is continously doing better job to achieve the Millienieum Goals, but more effots are the need of the hour to be done.

Replying to the questions on centre steps for the water sanitation, Mr. Ramesh called for the adequate funding and general awareness and social particiaption to clean the water completely.
