Government is starting a new scheme called Rajiv Awas Yojana for the slum dwellers and urban poor. In a written reply to the Lok Sabha today, Minister for Housing and Urban Poverty alleviation Kumari Selja said that the scheme aims at providing support to states that are willing to provide property rights to slum dwellers. She said that the scheme will encourage the states to adopt a pace that will create a slum free India at earliest.<br/> <br/>
