The Goods and Services Tax,GST Council today met in New Delhi and discussed the issues related to administrative control on assessees in the new tax regime.<br/><br/>The meeting was chaired by Finance Minister Arun Jaitley. It also deliberated on finalising Central GST (CGST), Integrated GST (IGST) draft legislations and Compensation Law .The finalisation of these laws will pave the way for introduction of GST legislations in the ongoing Winter Session of Parliament, which concludes on 16th of this month. <br/><br/>Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said that the government is stood by its set target of rolling out the new tax regime from 1st of April 2017. Speaking to media in New Delhi after the GST council meet, Mr Jaitley said, during the meeting, draft laws including Central GST were discussed. <br/><br/>He said, many of important provisions were approved today and some clauses need to be redrafted. He said, the next meeting which was scheduled for tomorrow, has been postponed and it will now meet on 22nd and 23rd of this month.
