In Mizoram, many government sponsored programs are giving relief to the poor people to minimize the economic impact due to the lockdown, imposed country wide to contain spread of COVID19.<br />'' <br />'' With the MNREGA works coming into force in this period, many  people in rural areas are getting jobs on their demand and they have started and wages in their bank accounts. The state government has also increased the MNREGA wage to Rs. 225 per day per person.<br />'' <br />'' Mrs Lalrinkimi, a job card holder of Kolasib district, who has been awarded six days of works so far, expressed happiness with the jobs and monetary benefit she has received in this distress period. She said she is thankful to the central govt for giving them relief through MNREGA.<br />'' <br />''People belonging to the categories of Antodaya Annya Yojana and National Food Security Act are getting free ration under the PM Garib Kalyan package. According to the beneficiaries, the supply of free ration during this difficult period has given a respite to their lives. An old woman Vanlalruati of Salem Veng in Aizawl received 40 kg rice free of cost. Talking to AIR News she blessed Prime Minister Modi for opening the window to provide free ration. She said that many poor families are getting the free ration during the lockdown. <br />
