Govt spent Rs 1,000 crore during 2015 – 16 on import of paper used for printing of currency notes

Government has spent over one thousand crore rupee during 2015 – 16 on import of paper used for printing of currency notes. It had spent around 13 hundred crore rupee in 2013-14 and around 15 hundred crore rupees in 2014 -15 in this regard. <br/><br/>In a written reply in the Lok Sabha, Minister of State for Finance, Arjun Ram Meghwal said one bank note paper line at Security Paper Mill, Hoshangabad and tow lines at Bank Note Paper Mill India Pvt. Limited are operational and supplying papers for bank note printing.
