Govt. slams opposition for deliberately stalling Parliamentary proceedings

Government today charged the Opposition of deliberately stalling the proceedings of Parliament.

Talking to reporters outside parliament, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs Harish Rawat said that it is unfortunate that the Opposition does not stand firm on its commitment to ensure smooth functioning of Parliament.

Mr. Rawat said government is making constant efforts to break the logjam and discuss all issues including price rise and black money.

BJP on the other hand denied that there was any understanding reached between the government and the Opposition.

Party Spokesman Prakash Javdekar said that they want a comprehensive discussion on price rise and black money under a rule which entails voting.

CPI(M) leader Sitaram Yechury also reiterated the Left Parties demand to accept the adjournment motion on price rise and black money.
