Ministry of Environment and Forests has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding, MoU with Jawaharlal Nehru University to start courses on various animal welfare activities at National Institute of Animal Welfare. <br/><br/>Talking to reporters in New Delhi, Minister for Environment and Forests Prakash Javadekar said, the courses will begin from this academic session. He said, initially there will be certificate and diploma courses and later there will also be Post Graduate courses.<br/><br/>Mr Javadekar said, the Ministry has put in place online process for granting environment clearances to the projects. He said, the Ministry has also opened a new portal for online approval to sand mining and minerals at district level. <br/><br/>He said, a hundred day time frame has been set to grant clearances to the projects without compromising environmental norms to avoid delay.
