<span style="color: #222222;">An agreement for providing financial support to STARS project has been signed between the Department of Economic Affairs and World Bank along with the Ministry of Education.<br />” <br />” Strengthening Teaching-Learning and Results for States, STARS project is aimed at improving the overall monitoring and measurement activities in the school education system through interventions in selected states.<br />” <br />” The total cost of this project is over five thousand crore rupees and the World Bank will provide the financial support of three thousand 700 crore rupees. The project covers six states of Himachal Pradesh, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Kerala and Odisha.<br />” <br />”This project will be instrumental in the implementation of new National Education Policy by strengthening early childhood education and foundational learning, ICT enabled approaches and promoting teachers development and vocational education.</span><br />
