Government has set up a special cell to monitor the receipt of fake currency notes and inform such instances to the Economic Offences Wing of State Police, Intelligence agencies as well as to the Finance Ministry. <br/><br/>In a written reply to a question in the Lok Sabha, Minister of State for Finance Arjun Ram Meghwal said, special watch is being kept on receipt of such fake notes in the States bordering our neighbouring countries.<br/><br/>He said, the Law Enforcement Agencies have been directed to maintain close vigil about possible movement of fake currencies. He said, the government has also asked them to make effective arrangements to keep watch on illicit cash transactions and movement of high value cash. <br/><br/>Mr Meghwal also added, the CISF and RPF are advised to keep special watch at Airports and Railway Stations.
