Govt sets up panel to look into IMA's five point demands

Union Health Ministry has set up a committee to look into the five point demands of Indian Medical Association,IMA. <br/><br/>The committee will study the suggestions and amendments given by IMA on all five issues including assault on doctors, amendments in the Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques Act and Consumer Protection Act for capping the compensation amount. <br/><br/>The Committee will submit its report within six weeks. According to the IMA Secretary General Dr KK Aggarwal, the members of the committee include,Additional Secretary (Health), Joint Secretary (Law), Joint Secretary (Home) and Joint Secretary (Consumer Affairs). <br/><br/>
