The Government is all set to implement Goods and Services Tax across the country by April next year. This was stated by Chairman Central Board of Excise and Customs Mr. V. Sridhar at a seminar on e-business practices in New Delhi yesterday. He also said that Government is working on introducing EU like trade barrier free inter state regime for trade in India. The Chairman added that the Centre is working for developing consensus among the states on the proposed Goods and Services tax.The four-day seminar focuses on simplifying financial supply chain management through innovative processes like e-invoicing and e-taxation.
