The government today sought approval from Parliament for gross additional expenditure of 44,945.52 crore rupees during the current fiscal. Fertilisers subsidy alone would account for 5,000 crore rupees out of this.The proposal involves net cash outgo of 19,812.37 crore rupees.The government has sought extra subsidy of 1,000 crore rupees on imported decontrolled fertilisers and 4,000 crore rupees for indigenous decontrolled fertilisers.The supplementary demands for grants for 2010-11 were presented in Lok Sabha by Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee today amidst din over demand of a joint parliamentary committee probe by opposition in the spectrum allocation issue.Other big expenditure heads include Ministry of Home Affairs 2,000 crore rupees and Ministry of Rural Development 3,000 crore rupees.
