The government is in favour of passing the Food Security Bill at the earliest. Talking to reporters after the Cabinet meeting in New Delhi this afternoon, Finance Minister P Chidambaram said that the government is seeking opposition's cooperation in the passing of the Bill in a specially convened session of Parliament. He said Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kamal Nath will make a fresh effort to seek the opposition support in this regard.
