The Union Government has said that procurement of Wheat in ongoing Rabi Marketing Season is continuing smoothly in the procuring states. So far, a quantity of over 431 Lakh Metric Tonnes of Wheat has been procured which is all time high, as it has exceeded previous high of 389.92 Lakh Metric Tonnes of Rabi Marketing Season 2020-21. Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution in a statement said that Wheat procurement in Rajasthan has reached all time high of 22.50 Lakh Metric Tonnes.

About 48.75 lakh farmers have already been benefitted from the ongoing RMS procurement operations with MSP value of 85,146.80 crore rupees. It said, about 48.75 lakh farmers have already been benefitted from the ongoing Rabi Marketing Season procurement operations with MSP value of over 85 thousand 146 crore rupees.
