A controversy has surfaced over the introduction of Telangana Bill in the Lok Sabha. Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kamal Nath also told media persons outside the Parliament that Telangana Bill has been introduced in the Lok Sabha.

However, the opposition has contradicted the government's claim that the Bill has been introduced. Leader of the Opposition Sushma Swaraj opined that the bill was not introduced and she had conveyed it to the Speaker.

Our correspondent reports that leaders from other Opposition parties have also conveyed to the Speaker that they do not accept the government's claim on the bill.
