Govt says, production and supply of fertilizers will meet farmers' demand despite movement restrictions due to lockdown

<span style="color: #222222;">Production and supply of fertilizers in the country is going on to meet the demand of the farmers despite movement restrictions due to COVID-19 lockdown. This is being done with the concerted efforts of Department of Fertilizers, Railways, States and Ports. The highest number of 41 rakes of fertilisers were moved last Friday during the lockdown period. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In a tweet, Chemicals and Fertilisers Minister Sadananda Gowda said the government is committed to ensure availability of fertilizers to farmers before sowing time. He also said that there is no problem of fertilizers in country and there is no need to panic. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He added that state governments have sufficient stock of fertilizers. Government has allowed operation of Fertilizers plant in the country so that agriculture sector is not affected due to lockdown.</span><br />''
