<span style="color: #222222;">Union Government assisted more than two lakh workers to get their wages amounting to nearly Rs 295 crore during the lockdown period in the country due to COVID-19 pandemic.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Labour and Employment Minister Santosh Kumar Gangwar informed Lok Sabha in a written reply today that during the lockdown period, 20 Control Rooms set up by the Ministry of Labour across the country resolved more than 15 thousand grievances of migrant labourers. &nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Minister informed that immediately after the lockdown, the government directed the State and Union Territories to provide financial assistance to construction workers from the Building and other Construction Workers' Cess Fund. Mr. Gangwar said that nearly one crore 83 lakh construction workers have been provided about Rs 5,000 crore directly in their bank accounts from these funds.</span><br />'' &nbsp;
