<span style="color: #222222;">The Government today said that no instances have come to its notice regarding attempts by companies to misuse on line data to manipulate the electoral process ahead of the next general elections.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">In a written reply in the Lok Sabha, IT Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad however said that the Centre has taken notice of reports regarding leakage of personal data by Facebook and Cambridge Analytica and has issued notices to these companies.&nbsp;</span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He said Facebook has informed that around 5.62 lakh Indians may have been potentially affected in the Cambridge Analytica case.</span><br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The Minister added that CBI has also been asked to investigate the possible misuse of data by Cambridge Analytica.</span><br />
