The Government has said that procurement of Wheat in ongoing Rabi Marketing Season 2021-22 is continuing smoothly in the procuring States and Union Territories. <br />''<br />''The States and UTs include Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Delhi, Gujarat, Jammu and  Kashmir and Bihar. The Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution in a statement said that till now a quantity of over 341.77 lakh Metric Tonnes of Wheat has been procured against the last year corresponding purchase of 252.51 lakh Metric Tonnes. <br />''<br />''The Ministry said, nearly 34.57 lakh farmers have already been benefitted from the ongoing Rabi Marketing Season procurement operations with MSP value of over Rs 67,499 crore.<br />'' <br />''<span style="color: #222222;">The Ministry also said that Paddy procurement in the ongoing Kharif Season 2020-21 is continuing smoothly in the procuring States. It added , so far, over 733 lakh Metric Tonnes of paddy against the last year corresponding purchase of over 681 lakh Metric Tonnes.</span>
