Govt says, it is ready to discuss any issue in Winter session of Parliament beginning on Wednesday

Amid the reports that opposition parties are gearing up to corner the treasury bench over demonetisation issue in Parliament , the government today said it is ready for discussion on any issue in both the Houses. The Winter session of Parliament will commence on Wednesday. Talking to AIR, Minister of State for Parliamentary Affairs, Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi said the demonetisation of currency is a big step against black money and Centre will reply in Parliament if opposition raises this issue. <br/><br/>Mr. Naqvi's remarks came amid consistent opposition by Congress against demonetisation and West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Benerjee's statement that TMC is ready to work with CPI(M) as well as Congress, SP and BSP to counter the NDA government over its decision. Parties including Left and AAP are also questioning the demonetisation move. The Minister said, several important Bills of people's interest including legislations related to GST will come up for discussion and passage during the session.
