The government has said, it has the right to proceed against the corrupt officials on the basis of available evidence, as per the applicable Disciplinary Rules. <br />'' <br />'' Minister of State in the Prime Minister's Office, Dr Jitendra Singh said this in a written reply in the Lok Sabha today. <br />'' <br />'' He said, the Government also, has the absolute right to retire Government officials prematurely on the ground of lack of integrity and ineffectiveness, in public interest.
