In a written reply in the Rajya Sabha, the Minister of State for Communications Devusinh Chauhan said, 5G Test Bed will greatly facilitate Indian academia and industry to validate their products, prototypes and algorithms in 5G environment.<br />''<br />''He said 5G technology is the next generation to the 4G mobile technology currently deployed in the country. It will provide subscribers with substantially higher data speed. Besides, it will provide low-delay communications for critical applications. It will also support a very large number of machine-type communications.<br />''<br />''The Minister said the frequency bands opened for International Mobile Telecommunications including 5G Technology, in the country have enough guard band to ensure that there is no aeronautical interference.<br />''<br />''Mr Chauhan said Department of Telecommunications has constituted a Technology Innovation Group on 6G and various task forces comprising of members from academia and industry.</span><br />
