Govt. says, decision to not hold India-Russia Annual Summit in 2020 due to COVID pandemic was mutually agreed

<span style="color: #222222;">New Delhi today said that the India-Russia Annual Summit did not take place in 2020 because of the COVID pandemic and this was a mutually agreed decision between the two Governments. In response to a media report regarding the India-Russia Annual Summit, MEA Spokesperson Anurag Srivastava said, any imputation otherwise is false and misleading. He said, spreading false stories on important relationships is particularly irresponsible.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Russian Ambassador to India, Nikolay Kudashev said, the article published about the annual summit is far from reality. He said, a special and privileged strategic partnership between Russia and India is progressing well despite the COVID-19. Mr Kudashev said, the Russian Embassy is in close touch with the Indian friends to work out new dates for the summit postponed due to epidemiological reasons. He expressed confidence that it will be held in near future, while the Russian-Indian relations will continue its further development.</span><br />''
