<span style="color: #222222;">Government today said that a total of 58,843 Sri Lankan Tamil refugees are staying in 108 camps in Tamil Nadu. In a written reply in the Lok Sabha, Minister of State for Home Nityanand Rai said, the figure is as per the data provided by the Commissionerate of Rehabilitation and Welfare of Non-resident Tamils in Tamil Nadu. </span><br />'' <br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">He added that there are 34,135 Sri Lankan Tamil refugees staying as non-camp refugees in Tamil Nadu, but they have registered with the local police. Besides this, 54 Sri Lankan Tamil refugees are staying in the refugee camp at Malkangiri in Odisha.</span><br />
