Govt says 36 Biotech KISAN hubs have been established covering 15 agro-climatic Zones across the country

<span style="color: #222222;">The government today said 36 Biotech KISAN hubs have been established covering 15 agro-climatic Zones across the country which includes 112 aspirational districts. In a written reply in Lok Sabha, Minister of Science and Technology, Dr Jitendra Singh said that it helped more than 2 lakh farmers.<br />''<br />''Biotech KISAN Hub is a joint project between the Department of Biotechnology (DBT) under the Ministry of Science and Technology and implementing institutions whose Funding is done by the Department of Biotechnology.<br />'' <br />''Dr. Singh said that the Department of Biotechnology has also supported 66 projects in the last 5 years. He said nearly 39 thousand rural, scheduled castes and tribes and women population including youth have been benefitted in agriculture and allied sectors.</span><br />
