The government has sanctioned around 644 crores rupees in the current financial year for five projects of Delhi government to decongest the city. Projects were submitted by Delhi government, DDA and North Delhi Municipal Corporation.<br/><br/>Minister of State for Urban Development Rao Inderjit Singh said, in a written reply in Rajya Sabha today that these agencies are required to contribute their shares towards the project cost. <br/><br/>The Minister said, a high powered committee has suggested four-pronged strategies to decongest Delhi by improving public transport, road safety and traffic management.
