The government has sanctioned one model school for every block across the country to ensure quality education. It was announced today by the United Progressive Alliance UPA Chairperson Smt Sonia Gandhi at Raibareilly. Addressing a function after laying foundation stone for a project of widening and strengthening Lucknow- Rae Bareily- Allahabad highway, she emphasized to expand of education for comprehensive development of society as well as country.

Mrs Sonia Ghandi said 75 percent expenditure of these schools will be borne by the centre. She said that state government has shown keen interest for providing land for the degree college.

Detailing about the project of widening and strengthening Lucknow- Raibareilly- Allahabad highway, she said that about 900 crore rupees will be spent on the project.Addressing the function Union Minister for Surface Transport CP Joshi said that several projects at an estimated cost of 33 thousand crore rupees are being implemented in Uttar Pradesh.
