Tourism minister Dr Mahesh Sharma today said the central government has sanctioned 180 crore rupees to boost tourism infrastructure in the newly created Telangana. <br/><br/>Replying to supplementaries in the Lok Sabha, Mr Sharma said, government has sanctioned 63 projects including Eco Circuit, Ramayana circuit, Coastal circuit and wildlife circuit for 5000 crore rupees under the Swadesh Darshan scheme. Dr Sharma said, government has included Pandharpur in Maharashtra under its Ramayana circuit and a scheme is under consideration to develop places associated with Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj in Maharashtra to attract tourists. <br/><br/>The minister said that for development of tourism infrastructure in the country, his ministry has launched two schemes in 2014-15 Swadesh Darshan and Integrated development of theme based tourists' circuits and PRASAD (Pilgrimage Rejuvenation and Spiritual Augmentation Drive). Under PRASAD scheme, 25 religious sites have been identified for development in the country namely including Amaravati, Ayodhya, Deoghar, Puri and Somnath among others.
